We’re getting married! If you’re reading this, you probably received an invitation already (please reply by February 1!). We hope you like the invitations. They were custom designed by Dana, and hand letterpressed by Dana and Michael and a few of our friends. We look forward to reading your RSVP cards!
Schedule of Events
Date: February 22nd, 2014
6pm – Ceremony begins. Weather permitting, we will exchange rings underneath a 150 year old oak tree on the lawn. The ceremony will be brief (the sun sets at 6:22!) and standing room only (a small number of chairs will be provided for those who need them). In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the reception room.
6:15pm – A tapas buffet and drinks will be served in the downstairs area of the venue.
7:00 – Reception and dancing in the upstairs area of the venue.
Venue
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at The American Legion Travis Post 76, a civil war era mansion built in 1858. It has a large lawn and two 150 year old oak trees, under which our ceremony will take place, weather permitting!
Menu
Tapas are Spanish small plates typically served as appetizers, but as with any appetizer, if you eat enough you’ve had a full meal. We expect you’ll be fully sated by our menu:
- Carrots marinated in herbs and spices
- Roasted red pepper spread with organic tomato, fried garlic, and pine nuts – served with a baguette from local bakery Easy Tiger
- Handmade and rolled pork meatballs in a tomato brandy sauce
- Goat cheese stuffed pepper with honey and pine nuts
Accommodations
We have a block of rooms at SpringHill Suites Northwest/Arboretum for February 21st and 22nd. The block is under Linder-Lachman and will be kept until January 31st, so make your reservations before then!
